I’ve been described as a “Renaissance man.”
I didn’t know what that meant, so I Googled it (and promptly discovered I didn’t know how to spell it, either). Apparently, a Renaissance man is “a man of many talents or areas of knowledge.” If that’s true, I’ll take it.
First and foremost, I’m a Christian, a husband, and a daddy. I was saved by God’s grace in 2010, married my wife in 2011, became a daddy in 2012, and again in 2015.
Professionally, my background is in digital marketing — that is, all things web related. Web design, social media and email marketing, media and production. I’m currently the Director of Digital Marketing at The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham, NC.* I also provide freelance marketing consulting and digital marketing services for churches across North America.
By way of hobbies, I’m an amateur photographer, a musician (I’m currently learning bluegrass mandolin), and a pretty good cook. In a previous life, I spent a year and a half as a semi-professional magician and produced a couple of series of a really bad local TV show while I was at it. I know a little French and Japanese, so with that, salut and konnichiwa. Enjoy your stay.

I take photographs.
I’m no professional, but I’ve had the pleasure to shoot photography and serve as photo editor for a number of publications. I particularly enjoy working with musicians and shooting live events, and I also shoot portraits by request. I also contribute stock to Unsplash.
As far as gear goes, I shoot with a Nikon D750 and my favorite lens is my Sigma ART 24-105mm f/4.
